As mentioned in other sections of this site, most of the poker sites' software still remain compatible only with Windows operating systems.
Full Tilt Poker has just released the first native downloadable software version specific for Mac users. Other options have emerged, such as web-based play at
PokerRoom.com (along with PokerRoom skins:
HoldemPoker and
EuroPoker) and
PacificPoker.com, but some of the best poker sites and software are likely to stick with Windows versions only for some time. A possible solution for Mac users interested in playing on those sites:
Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac, which is a software application that allows different operating systems to run on the same computer. My guess is that if you understand the uses and benefits of Virtual PC for your Mac, you probably already have the software.
